PSMJ Resources congratulates Morrison-Maierle on its most recent acquisition.
On May 31, 2016, the Helena, MT-based engineering, planning, surveying, and environmental sciences firm acquired Vista West Engineering, of Sheridan, and Casper, Wyoming. PSMJ initiated this transaction and provided advisory services for Morrison-Maierle.
This acquisition is Morrison-Maierle’s second this year in Wyoming. In January, the company acquired longtime Cody firm, Holm, Blough and Company. With this move, Morrison-Maierle now has 35 employee-owners working in the state.
“At Morrison-Maierle, we strive to find companies of like-minded individuals,” says Bob Morrison, President and CEO (left). “Vista West’s direction, core values, and approach to their work all are very similar to what we do here at Morrison-Maierle. In fact, we have partnered with Vista West on projects for the Wyoming Department of Transportation to great success."
"Going forward, we plan to expand on this, and are very excited to become more ingrained in Wyoming as a whole,” Morrison adds.
Vista West Engineering principal, Randy Bomar (below right) and his team in Sheridan and Casper have joined Morrison-Maierle. Along with Bomar, Vista West principals Jeff Feck, Dan Allen, and Erik Miller are also joining the firm.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to become part of Morrison-Maierle,” says Bomar. “Having worked with them previously, we know they are a quality firm with outstanding people. This will allow us the opportunity to provide additional services to our clients and expand our Wyoming capabilities.”
Vista West Engineering began in Sheridan in 2006 when it acquired the civil engineering portion of TSP. As the working environment in Wyoming changed, and Vista West was ready to grow, the company added a second office in Casper in 2014. They have capabilities in Airports, Municipal Infrastructure, Pavement Management, Site Engineering, Highway, and Traffic Engineering.
Along with Bomar, Vista West has 14 employees; eight Professional Engineers, two Engineering Interns, a CAD Technician, a CAD Designer, two Project Coordinators, and one Office Admin Manager. Bomar will be the Satellite Office Manager, Dan Allen will be the Airports Group Office Leader, Jeff Feck will serve as the Development Group Office Leader, and Erik Miller has been assigned as the Transportation Group Office Leader.
Morrison-Maierle has offices in Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, and Washington, and is ranked in Engineering News Record’s “Top 500 Design Firms” in the United States.
