We are always interested when architecture and engineering firms think out of the box. One such firm is Ruhnau Ruhnau Clarke, which recently launched
Be - Career Discovery for iPhone and iPad, a free app that helps students discover their future careers by swiping through career cards.

Discovery users swipe right to like or swipe left to pass while tapping the card reveals information like salary and education requirements, much like dating app Tinder.

Ruhnau Ruhnau Clarke is a full-service architecture and planning firm, founded in 1950, in Riverside California. The firm has a strong focus on education, having completed over 1800 school projects throughout the State of California.

"We have all had that moment in school when we didn't know what career to pursue or even what the options were," said Joshua Sanabria, Innovation Lab Director at Ruhnau Ruhnau Clarke. "With 'Be' we eliminate the drudgery of wandering through directories and instead give students an engaging way to get informed."

12560162-be-poster.jpg"Be" has over 200 STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) careers to explore. This focus exposes students to new and upcoming fields beyond traditional career paths. It also provides a preview to the future products coming out of Ruhnau Ruhnau Clarke's new Innovation Lab.

The Innovation Lab's mission is to create products that enhance community, creativity, and innovative thinking. The Innovation Lab and "Be," its first product, show that innovation is central to Ruhnau Ruhnau Clarke's business by challenging the assumption that architects only create buildings but showing that they can be entrepreneurial too.

"Our hope is that 'Be' will be helpful to students, parents, and educators while complementing our 65 years of experience in educational architecture. I think of it as a bridge from the physical learning environment to the personal one," said Roger Clarke, President of Ruhnau Ruhnau Clarke.
