June 14, 2018 – Structural engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti (New York, NY) acquired 60-person technical consulting firm MMI Engineering (Warrington, UK) that specializes in the oil and gas, nuclear, utilities and infrastructure markets.
June 1, 2018 – Summit Design and Engineering (Hillsborough, NC) acquired Community Planning Partners (Richmond, VA). “We are extremely excited to welcome CPP’s employees and clients to the Summit team,” said Jim Parker, PE, PLS, president and CEO of Summit. “We have been long-time partners with CPP and have always admired and respected their work and expertise.”
May 10, 2018 – Architecture and design firm GraceHebert Architects (Baton Rouge, LA) acquired New HMS Architects (New Orleans, LA). “The acquisition of HMS Architects stems from a mutually respectful and collaborative working relationship,” said President of GraceHebert Architects Jerry Hebert. “HMS Architects’ outstanding reputation and long-standing legacy in the Greater New Orleans area coupled with our resources and presence in a wide variety of industries will endow both entities with new growth opportunities.”
