June 28, 2017 – Engineering design firms IMEG (Rock Island, IL) and Missman (Rock Island, IL) merged and Missman will continue to operate under its existing brand – as a division of IMEG.  “While we are very proud of the 70-year history of our firm, we also recognized that the next step for our team and clients was to merge with a firm of comparable quality that would enable us to expand services," said Pat Eikenberry, President of Missman.

June 27, 2017Carl Walker (Portage, MI), an architecture and engineering firm specializing in the parking garage sector, will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of WGI Structures (West Palm Beach, FL), a design, planning and surveying firm. "We are excited about the expanded national presence and capabilities that Carl Walker brings to our firm and our diverse infrastructure team," said David Wantman, President and CEO of WGI Structures.

June 22, 2017 – Global design firm Stantec (Edmonton, Alberta) announced plans to acquire of RNL (Denver, CO), a 134-person integrated architectural, interior and urban design firm. “RNL is an exceptionally-well respected company in the industry which brings both talent and presence to complement our continuously growing Buildings practice,” said Bob Gomes, Stantec president and chief executive officer.

June 21, 2017Koontz-Bryant (Henrico, VA), Geo-Solutions (Chester, VA), and Willmark Engineering (Ashland, VA) are now one company — Koontz Bryant Johnson Williams.  “It’s pretty neat when you can take three companies, with all their services, and put them together and not lose a single employee,” said Greg Koontz, who will serve as President of the combined firms.

June 6, 2017360 Rail Services (Englewood, CO) acquired Railroad Specialties (Centennial, CO), a company involved with the design, construction, maintenance and repair of rail lines.  “This acquisition is critical for our company as we continue to expand our footprint in the rail industry,” said Larry Stockton, CEO of 360 Rail Services.  360 Rail Services provides engineering, design, construction, maintenance, logistics and transloading services.
