August 21, 2017 – Global architecture and design firm NELSON (Philadelphia, PA) merged operations with WK design group (San Francisco, CA).  This addition increases NELSON’s focus on large-scale, core and shell architecture.  “Our recent move actively demonstrates our dedication to increasing our architectural design services on both a local and national level,” said John “Ozzie” Nelson Jr, Chairman and CEO of NELSON.

August 21, 2017 – Consulting engineering firm MTE Consultants (Kitchener, Ontario) acquired surveying firm Holstead & Redmond (London, Ontario).  “Our strong growth in the London market can be attributed to our people, both new and relocated staff, who have connections within the community and relationships with clients and business partners that are based on trust and quality service,” said MTE president Ted Rowe.

August 2, 2017 –  Jacobs Engineering Group (Dallas, TX) and CH2M (Englewood, CO) entered into a definitive agreement under which Jacobs will acquire all of the outstanding shares of CH2M in a cash and stock transaction with an enterprise value of approximately $3.27 billion, including approximately $416 million of CH2M net debt.  The transaction value represents an enterprise value multiple of 6.9x trailing twelve months (TTM) adjusted EBITDA, including cost synergies.  Excluding the synergy benefits, the transaction enterprise value represents a multiple of 10.1x TTM adjusted EBITDA.  TTM adjusted EBITDA through June 2017 for CH2M is $323 million.
