December 3, 2024 – Harrisburg, PA – Gannett Fleming TranSystems, a leading engineering and infrastructure solutions provider, has acquired Muller & Muller Ltd. (“M2”), a Chicago-based architecture firm specializing in design excellence. This marks Gannett Fleming’s fourth strategic acquisition in 16 months and its first since merging with TranSystems.

December 3, 2024 – Plano, TX – Westwood, a nationally renowned design and consulting firm, announced its acquisition of Virginia-based Balzer & Associates, Inc. (Balzer). The acquisition of Balzer & Associates aligns with Westwood's vision to expand into new geographic regions while further enhancing their ability to support clients across the nation. This acquisition adds to Westwood's four new offices in Virginia, strengthening strategic growth initiatives.

December 2, 2024 – Gainesville, GA – Carroll Daniel Construction Company has acquired the assets of O’Neal Inc. Engineering of Greenville, SC. The business units of O’Neal Inc. will combine with Carroll Daniel’s existing in-house Engineering and Architecture groups, which will operate as Carroll Daniel Engineering going forward. The acquisition includes the addition of over 100 engineers and support staff to Carroll Daniel’s team.

November 22, 2024 – Rockville, MD – Apex Companies, LLC (Apex), announced the acquisition of Weiler Engineering Corporation, (Weiler Engineering), a Florida-based turnkey engineering firm who supports various municipal and private markets. Weiler Engineering is the latest team to join Apex, a national leader in water, environmental, compliance and assurance (including ESG verification and assurance), health and safety, and transportation and civil engineering services. Together, Weiler Engineering, Johnson Engineering (acquired by Apex in September 2024), Water Science Associates (acquired by Apex in early 2023), and Apex present both breadth and depth of expertise with longstanding presence in Florida, serving both the municipal and private markets.
