Here’s a recap of some of the latest A/E/C mergers and acquisitions that have been announced in recent weeks.

July 19, 2018Land Grant Surveyors (West Hempfield, Pennsylvania) acquired Weber Surveyors (East Hempfield, Pennsylvania).  "LGS's acquisition of Weber not only provides a growth opportunity, it will allow us to better serve all of our clients, collaboratively." said Land Grant Surveyors President Steven Black.

July 18, 2018Trinity Consultants (Dallas, Texas), an international environmental, health, and safety consulting firm, joined with ADVENT Engineering Services (San Ramon, California), a consultancy focused on process development, process engineering, automation engineering, CQV (commissioning, qualification and validation), and project management for life sciences companies.

July 16, 2018 Civil & Environmental Consultants (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) acquired civil and solid waste engineering firm Shepherd Engineering Design Company (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma).  This acquisition is part of CEC’s ongoing strategy and commitment to grow and diversify the Oklahoma City office,” said Dean A. Koleada, P.E., CEC principal and Oklahoma City office lead.

July 10, 2018 – Engineering and survey firm LACO Associates (Eureka, Oregon) acquired land surveying firm DobleThomas & Associates (Healdsburg, California).  “The sale of DobleThomas to LACO will be the joining two extraordinary firms very similar in culture, with practice strengths that are highly complementary; enabling us to provide a new and broader set of services to our clients.” Said DobleThomas President Brad Thomas.

July 2, 2018Bowman Consulting Group (Chantilly, VA), a provider of engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture and construction management services, acquired substantially all of the assets of Atherton Engineering (Phoenix, Arizona).  According to Gary Bowman, President of Bowman Consulting, "Our cultural values are aligned and both firms are committed to delivering successful outcomes to our clients. The combination of Atherton's data center experience with ours results in a powerhouse design-engineering capability that can tackle any assignment, anywhere."

July 1, 2018 – Architecture and engineering firm HGA (Minneapolis, MN) acquired Sustainable Engineering Group (Madison, Wisconsin).  HGA vice president and energy and infrastructure market leader Rick Hombsch said, "SEG’s approach and deep knowledge will allow us to better serve the energy needs of our growing client base.”

June 23, 2018 – Full-service environmental consulting firm Corporate Environmental Advisors (West Boylston, Massachusetts) acquired environmental consulting firm Stone Hill Environmental (Portsmouth, NH).
