February 13, 2017Mott MacDonald (Croydon, United Kingdom) acquired engineering and design consultancy Wideurope Engineering (Genova, Italy).  Wideurope Engineering employs over 50 people across its offices in Dubai and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates and in Italy. The company operates primarily in the energy sector providing expert technical support and professional services in civil, structural and electro-mechanical design.

February 2, 2017 – christopher consultants (Fairfax, VA) acquired Paciulli, Simmons & Associates (Leesburg, VA), a civil engineering, surveying and land planning firm.  “With the addition of Paciulli we had the unique opportunity to expand our core services in our own backyard. The combined tenure of the team is phenomenal,” said Bill Zink, PE, President of christopher.

January 29, 2017Jacobs Engineering Group (Pasadena, CA) acquired 220-person integrated project services firm Aquenta Consulting (Chatswood, NSW, Australia) from Amec Foster Wheeler.  “The acquisition of Aquenta further strengthens our Asia Pacific Buildings and Infrastructure business, expands our global capability in integrated project services, and is in line with the strategic plan we announced late last year at our Investor Day,” said Jacobs Senior Vice President Buildings and Infrastructure Patrick Hill.

January 16, 2017Quorum Architects (Milwaukee, WI) acquired six-person TWP Architecture (Elm Grove, WI).  “We have a lot of shared core values in design and client interaction, but we have different focus areas,” said Allyson Nemec, Principal Architect at Quorum Architects.

January 12, 2017Loureiro Engineering Associates (Plainville, CT) acquired DiCesare-Bentley Engineers (Groton, CT).  Jeff Loureiro, Loureiro CEO, stated “We believe recent attention to coastal (and flood-prone inland) area flooding caused by an increasingly chaotic climate, will give rise to significant long term demand from public and private clients for a variety of coastal engineering and related construction/remediation services.”
