While project management certification has become a norm in many industries, such programs do not meet the specific needs of architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) firms.
Thus, PSMJ has introduced The A/E/C Project Management Association (AECPMA), an organization developed out of a need for project managers to advance their skills, and become certified with a focus specifically on project management in the A/E/C industry.
Built by a task force of principals and senior project managers from some of the industry’s most respected firms, AECPMA is designed for individuals in all levels of project management–from junior-level individuals just starting their project management careers to senior-level PMs eager to continue learning and achieving certification.
From the ground up, AECPMA is designed to be 100 percent focused on the unique needs of A/E/C Project Managers through:
-
Elite A/E/C PM Resources. Members have access to a one-of-a-kind content library covering A/E/C project management topics. The A/E/C Project Management Association designs each articles, study, webinar, and manual with its members' needs in mind.
-
Monthly Newsletter. Each month, members are invited to read A/E/C project manager articles. Each offers ways to improve project management skills as well as strategies and tips to make a good career, better.
-
A Like-Minded Community. With the AECPMA members-only Discussion Forum, members tap into an exclusive network of fellow A/E/C Project Managers. Here, they can get answers to questions, share experiences, and offer insights that help improve the day-in, day-out work of a PM in the A/E/C industry.
-
A Rigorous Certification Program for Project Managers. This is the ONLY industry-specific recognition for A/E/C Project Managers. Achieving such PM Certification proves to your employer and your clients that you are a highly skilled project manager.
While other associations may bring together project managers across a wide range of industries, the challenge is that different industries have different priorities and needs. Not here: The A/E/C Project Management Association has one purpose for one industry.
