Here’s a recap of some of the latest A/E/C mergers and acquisitions that have been announced in recent weeks.

November 21, 2018 – Wind Point Partners (Chicago, IL) announced the acquisition of engineering and construction management firm The Kleinfelder Group (San Diego, CA). “This partnership with Wind Point will help remove the final obstacle of an unsustainable capital structure and allow Kleinfelder, and the professional men and women of Kleinfelder, to achieve their full potential. With Wind Point as a partner, we expect to see significant growth and opportunity for all our employees, while continuing to provide superior service to our clients,” said The Kleinfelder Group CEO George J. Pierson.

November 21, 2018 – Hancock Associates (Danvers, MA) announced the acquisition of land planning and civil engineering firm H.W. Moore (Boston, MA). “To support H.W. Moore, Hancock is outfitting the office with a full land surveying staff including field crews. By bringing the two firms together, we’re able to offer more services, expand our reach and serve our clients even more efficiently. We’re excited for the future,” said Hancock Associates President Wayne C. Jalbert.

November 27, 2018 – Sain Associates (Birmingham, AL) announced the acquisition of transportation planning and engineering firm Vision Engineering and Planning (Baltimore, MD). “Our firm strives to evolve and stay ahead of the ever-changing industry so that we will continue to be recognized as one of the top engineering firms in the Southeast,” said Sain Associates CEO Jim Meads.
