Here’s a recap of some of the latest A/E/C mergers and acquisitions that have been announced in recent weeks.
February 26, 2018 – Geotechnical and environmental consulting firm GZA GeoEnvironmental (Norwood, MA) acquired dam engineering firm Civil Dynamics (Stockholm, NJ). GZA GeoEnvironmental President and CEO Bill Hadge stated “We’ve been honored to partner with them on many projects over the years, and now we’re excited to bring their outstanding team into GZA to strengthen our ability to serve clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.”
February 28, 2018 – Civil engineering firm CT Consultants acquired GGC Engineers (Gahanna, OH). GGC Engineers provides engineering services to the public and private sectors. Wes Hall, Vice President of CT Consultants stated “The shared values, work ethic and culture of the two firms makes this an exciting venture.”
March 2, 2018 – Multi-disciplinary planning and engineering firm WSB & Associates (Minneapolis, MN) acquired land development engineering firm Legacy Engineering (Denver, CO) and infrastructure engineering firm Rogers Design Services (Austin, TX). “Our vision at WSB has always been to create a great place to work for our staff, an over-the-top approach to customer service, and to develop forward thinking solutions for the engineering and design challenges of our clients. The acquisition of Legacy Engineering Inc. and RDS will allow us to introduce our approach into new markets,” says Bret Weiss, President and CEO of WSB & Associates.
March 5, 2018 – Geotechnical and environmental consulting firm GZA GeoEnvironmental (Norwood, MA) acquired Emery & Garrett Groundwater Investigations (Meredith, NH), a firm focused on groundwater exploration, development, management, and protection. “The EGGI team is one of the most respected and sought-after groundwater experts in the eastern United States, and this acquisition enables GZA to expand our water services and client base.” stated Bill Hadge, President and CEO of GZA GeoEnvironmental.
March 7, 2018 – Civil engineering firm TREKK Design Group (Kansas City, MO) acquired mobile LiDAR provider Terrametrix (Omaha, NE). “This is an exciting time for mobile LiDAR as this merger will intensify and strengthen our combined ability to serve our existing markets and clients,” said Kimberly Robinett, founder of TREKK Design Group
