Here’s your look at some of the latest A/E/C mergers and acquisitions making headlines.

May 13, 2024 – Comvest Partners (West Palm Beach, FL), a middle-market private investment firm, is pleased to announce that an affiliate of GAI Consultants, Inc. has acquired Creighton Manning Engineering, LLP, of Albany, New York. GAI, a preeminent engineering, planning and environmental consulting firm with locations throughout the United States, is a platform investment in Comvest’s private equity portfolio. With the transaction, Creighton Manning becomes a division of GAI called Creighton Manning, a GAI Company.

May 9, 2024 – STV Group Incorporated (New York, NY), a leading professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, announced it has acquired MEHTA and Associates, Inc. (also known as MEHTA Engineering), an engineering and construction engineering inspection firm which has more than 75 professionals in Florida and has completed nearly 1,000 infrastructure projects over the past 50 years.

May 1, 2024 – Olsson (Fayetteville, AK) has acquired FTN Associates Ltd., a water and environmental engineering consultant based in Little Rock, Arkansas. The firm announced acquisition plans in March, and the deal was finalized this week. "We’re excited to welcome FTN’s employees to Olsson,” said Brad Hammond, local area leader for Olsson in Fayetteville, Arkansas. “Our firm is gaining outstanding technical experts, and we’re hoping to provide them with opportunities to serve clients and grow in their careers.” A total of 44 FTN employees are joining Olsson. Most of the new employees will work from offices in Little Rock and Fayetteville with smaller numbers working in Louisiana, Missouri, and Mississippi.

May 1, 2024 – Rushing (Seattle, WA), an award-winning Seattle-based mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering, lighting design, energy services, and commissioning firm, has joined IMEG. The merger helps position both firms for continued growth in the Pacific Northwest market. Rushing has served clients since 2006 in multiple market sectors including arts and culture, commercial, education, government, healthcare, hospitality, housing, and science and technology.

April 3, 2024 - LEVY DYKEMA (Austin, TX) continues to expand through the recent addition of Cotera+Reed Architects into the firm. Recognized for its prolific portfolio of work and lasting impact in central Texas, the Cotera+Reed team will now operate under the LEVY DYKEMA brand at its Congress Avenue offices in downtown Austin, Texas. "We are excited to have the legacy of Cotera+Reed Architects become a part of LEVY DYKEMA," said Stephen V. Levy, president of LEVY DYKEMA. Apil 3, 2024 - Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, PLLC (Columbia, SC), a premier transportation consulting and engineering firm focused on the Southeastern United States, today announced that it has received a strategic investment from Godspeed Capital Management LP, a lower middle-market Defense & Government services, solutions, and technology focused private equity firm. Through this investment, Godspeed Capital will partner with ICE’s leadership to establish the Company as the platform brand of a new transportation-focused engineering and consulting services and solutions provider focused on public infrastructure projects in the Southeastern U.S.
