Here are the recent transactions in the AEC M&A Industry:

August 28, 2024 – Qualus Corporation (“Qualus”), a leading pure-play power services firm and innovator at the forefront of the energy transition, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Planet Forward Energy Solutions, LLC (“PFES”), a specialized and differentiated provider of program management and strategic advisory services to the power industry and utilities. PFES will bring to Qualus deep expertise and resources in multi-disciplinary program and project management, project controls, construction management, and owner’s engineering services.

August 27, 2024 – KTGY, an award-winning design firm focused on architecture, interior design, branded environments and urban design, announced that it has acquired GDA Architects, a Dallas-based architectural firm specializing in high rise residential, hospitality and industrial design. The unification of the firms will bolster KTGY’s presence in Texas and expand the firms’ high rise portfolio, while giving GDA access to a national network of design experts. This acquisition continues the momentum of KTGY’s growth trajectory.

August 16, 2024 – DCCM, a national provider of design, consulting, and program & construction management services, and a portfolio company of Miami, Florida based White Wolf Capital Group, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Peoples & Quigley, Inc., a civil engineering firm specializing in water resources including dams and embankments engineering, potable water, and wastewater solutions with a well-established presence in Georgia.

August 15, 2024 – Verdantas, a leading integrated environmental science, engineering, and consulting firm backed by Sterling Investment Partners announced it has acquired cbec eco engineering, a highly-respected company specializing in water resources engineering and ecological restoration. This strategic move significantly enhances Verdantas’ environmentally related services in the Western region, particularly in California.

August 14, 2024 – Legence, a Blackstone Portfolio Company and North America's leading integrated provider of energy efficiency and sustainability solutions for the built environment, announced the acquisition of AMA Group, a New York City-based national engineering services firm. Over the next several months, AMA will integrate into CMTA, Legence’s largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services portfolio company. This deal marks Legence's first acquisition in New York City, a priority market with a growing focus on building decarbonization.
