Here are the recent transactions in the AEC M&A Industry:

August 5, 2024 – Gannett Fleming, a portfolio company of OceanSound Partners (“OceanSound”) and a leading engineering and infrastructure solutions provider, and TranSystems, a provider of transportation focused engineering and infrastructure services, today announced that they have completed a strategic merger. Together, Gannett Fleming and TranSystems (collectively, the “Company”) create a best-in class organization with approximately $1.3 billion in revenue and a highly skilled workforce of more than 5,000 employees

August 1, 2024 – Kimley-Horn joined forces with Chattanooga-based A.D. Engineering (ADE), bringing together ADE’s local, site civil engineering expertise with Kimley-Horn’s industry-leading, nationally-recognized planning and design consulting services. Integrating the team from ADE enhances Kimley-Horn’s local capabilities and further solidifies the shared vision of both organizations.

August 1, 2024 – Illuminating Concepts, a full-service lighting design studio in Farmington Hills, MI, has joined IMEG. The merger helps both firms expand architectural lighting design and procurement services across the country.

August 1, 2024 – Civil and environmental engineering firm Fuss & O’Neill is proud to announce the acquisition of Bayside Engineering. This strategic investment establishes a fourth Massachusetts office for the firm and increases Fuss & O’Neill’s service offerings in the metro-Boston area.

July 29, 2024 – The McDonough Engineering team has joined LJA Engineering. Both McDonough and LJA are recognized leaders in providing civil engineering, design, and construction management services for site development, transportation, and municipal / public sector projects.
