NEWTON, Mass. — PSMJ Resources announces the new AEC AI Acceleration Workshop, a two-day executive training program coming to 5 major US cities starting in December 2026.
The program is for leaders in architecture, engineering, and construction firms who are responsible for evaluating, implementing, or overseeing artificial intelligence strategy and making major decisions on tech investment and adoption.
Executives build a working command of AI terminology, identify the tasks with the greatest potential for AI assistance, and pressure-test the internal business case. A dedicated module on risk covers data readiness, client confidentiality, professional liability, emerging contract language, and the elements of a firm AI usage policy that staff will actually follow.
The remaining modules turn to application. Hands-on exercises center on the documents executives handle every day, such as correspondence, status reports, meeting notes, and contracts. From there, the program moves into business development, including RFP analysis, proposal development, and building a searchable knowledge base of past projects. Project management topics include scheduling, earned value analysis, budget variance, and field documentation. Additional use cases range from executive insights drawn from ERP, CRM, and HR data to secure company knowledge search, QA/QC, and AI agents that support Revit and CAD work.
The workshop closes with a written plan. Participants select pilot projects, define success metrics, build a realistic budget, assign ownership, and map the change management and training steps needed to bring their people along. Each attendee leaves with a 90-day action plan that names owners and dates.
The December San Diego program is the first of several AEC AI Acceleration Workshops, with additional sessions planned for Scottsdale, Austin, Boston, and Nashville in 2027. The workshop is eligible for up to 13 learning units, CEUs, or PDHs, subject to applicable licensing requirements.
Cameron Duncan, Co-Founder of Hallian Technologies, leads the workshop. Duncan facilitated the Foundations program at AEC INNOVATE in 2026 and works with AEC firms on enterprise AI implementation. His curriculum weighs the opportunities against the risks, giving leaders an honest read on what AI can deliver today and a clear view of where it can go wrong.
Registration and additional program information are available through PSMJ Resources.
