July 26, 2023 – Roux (Islandia, New York) acquires Benchmark Turnkey (Buffalo, New York). The transaction was closed on July 24, 2023. “This cultural alignment between our two firms just makes good business sense, allowing us to better service and expand our clients in Western New York, a geography currently experiencing a growth cycle with new opportunities in technology, manufacturing, and clean energy. I am excited to take this next step with them, and I know they will help us grow in the long term.” Said Sin Senh, CEO of Roux”. Benchmark Turnkey was comprised of 35 personnel and has been around for about 25 years.

August 1, 2023 - DiGioia Gray (King of Prussia, Pennsylvania) acquired by Gannett Fleming (Camp Hill, Pennsylvania) on August 1st, 2023. “The need for sustainable infrastructure optimizing the total lifecycle cost of ownership is becoming more urgent as climate change accelerates and impacts decades of underinvestment in critical infrastructure. Substation and transmission engineering is becoming more important on large-scale infrastructure projects as the drive for decarbonization and renewable energy converges with the growing demand for electric vehicles,” stated CEO if Gannet Fleming, Bob Scaer. “The acquisition of DiGioia Gray will add to our portfolio of differentiated, technology-enabled solutions, all while supporting significant drivers of grid and energy resilience. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with the DiGioia Gray team”. Digioia Gray had over 120 technical experts, between engineers, geologists, and technologists. 

August 2, 2023 – Atwell (Ann Arbor, Michigan) acquires 41-person firm, Bay Engineering (Annapolis, Maryland) on August 2nd, 2023. “It’s clear to us that Atwell delivers high-quality results to their clients, with value placed on thorough communication and accuracy. We’re excited to expand our services to our clients and provide new opportunities for our employees,” says Tim Martin, President of Bay Engineering. This sentiment was shared by Atwell’s Senior Vice President of Land Development in the eastern United States, Bill Anderson, who said “A shared passion for our work and a client-centric approach made this acquisition a great fit”. 

August 2, 2023 – ARM Group (Hershey, Pennsylvania) acquires Resource International (Ashland, Virginia), a 25-person firm. Resource International, founded in 1979, will add to ARM Group’s solid waste, renewable energy, geo-environmental, and other practices into the Virginia market. 

August 2, 2023 – RTM Engineering Consultants (Schaumberg, Illinois) acquires ASYS (Newport Beach, California). “ASYS’ extensive experience in healthcare projects will be a valuable asset moving forward. Our partnership will allow us to increase the scope of the MEP services we provide to clients in California,” said RTM CEO Toney Mirchandani.
