Dave Burstein, P.E.
Dave Burstein, P.E., is a Director and Senior Consultant with PSMJ who provides consulting and training on a wide range of project management and leadership topics. Prior to joining PSMJ, Dave worked for 26 years at Parsons Corporation, one of the world's largest engineering-construction firms, where he held roles including President of Parsons' 1,600-person environmental subsidiary and President of its 120-person planning subsidiary.
Dave is one of the nation's leading authorities on project management for the AEC industry. He developed and published the system for controlling budgets and schedules now known as Earned Value Management, and co-authored Project Management for the Design Professional, the first textbook on project management for the AEC industry, which has sold over 80,000 copies. He has since authored two additional textbooks on the subject and developed software solutions to help PMs manage their projects more effectively.
Since joining PSMJ full-time, Dave has presented hundreds of project management seminars to thousands of PMs in AEC firms, both in open enrollment and in-house settings.
