EXHIBITS, LEARNING ZONES, SOLAR BAY, AND METAL ROOFING CHALLENGE - ALL THIS AND MORE ON THE EXHIBIT FLOOR. Think of every product required for construction. In the same context, think about how metal can fit into the building envelope - new structures, renovations, retrofit. The METALCON Exhibit Floor 2014 will showcase over 800 booths with a broad range of metal construction products, services, equipment and technology. METALCON is excited to welcome close to 60 new exhibitors to this year’s show. Several exhibitors will have upgraded booths to showcase new products to the Rocky Mountain region. Paulo Gomes da Costa, National Sales Director, explains, “The floor itself looks to be the most diverse we have ever seen at METALCON with many exhibitors in different lines of business.” In addition to the exhibits, the floor will include special areas such as Solar Bay, the Metal Roofing Challenge where contractors can compete for cash prizes, and the new “Learning Zones.” Exhibit hours will run Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 2 from 12 noon to 6:00 pm and Friday, October 3 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
ARE METAL AND SOLAR COMPATIBLE? VISIT SOLAR BAY LIVE AND LEARN HOW. One of the most popular areas on the Exhibit Floor last year was Solar Bay, returning this year in booth 846. A different keynote presentation is featured daily, focusing in greater detail on specific techniques used to install solar and metal combinations. Complete with full-scale solar roof mock-ups, you’ll find the newest solar integration technologies for the metal roofing and building envelope.

DID YOU KNOW? Denver is nicknamed the Mile-High City because its official elevation is exactly one mile or 5,280 feet above sea level, making it one of the highest major cities in the United States. If this is your first trip to the “Mile-High City,” you may want to prepare yourself with some High Altitude Tips. To prepare for thinner and dryer air, the experts suggest that you drink plenty of water, monitor your alcohol intake, eat food high in potassium, watch your physical activity, pack for sun and dress in layers.
